FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Indiana Department of Natural Resources has provided a new webpage to provide accessibility information for various DNR locations.
According to a release from DNR, a “new one-stop feature” of the website has been added that is specifically intended to minimize any challenges that would prevent guests from experiencing all that DNR parks and properties have to offer.
“Once there, you’ll find maps, photos, and details about some of the destinations that feature accommodations for hunting and fishing, trail chairs, wheelchair-accessible trails, paved trails, beach mats, and the like,” the release reads.
The release also notes that while the list is detailed and expansive, it is not a comprehensive list of all accessible activities. For further information regarding a specific property, contact the office of the DNR destination you’re planning to visit.
“This is one of the many things we are doing to welcome all to DNR properties so they can enjoy the many benefits of Indiana’s great outdoors,” DNR director Dan Bortne said.
